Weekly Post 12/5-12/9

"Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!" ~ Audrey Hepburn

Dear Parents and students,

Please check your child's planner DAILY and make sure they have their homework in their homework folder to turn in on time. Students who are absent are responsible to make up any missing assignments as stated in the Disclosure Statement. Students have been given MULTIPLE opportunities to make up their work during math time on a weekly basis.  Students also have opportunities to make up their work during Aguilas of Excellence monthly to improve their grade. In addition, students have opportunities to RETAKE quizzes/tests during lunchtime and any day after school except Wednesdays. Please help encourage your student to be PROACTIVE and RESPONSIBLE. I would love to see them to be successful!

Math
We will continue to learn about the Order of Operations (PEMDAS) and to practice solving math expressions. Students will learn and work on the math concepts and practice math skills in the classroom. However, if the math homework is not finished in the class period, the student needs to take it home, finish it completely, and return it the next school day. Ask your student what they did and learned in math that day.

This week's assignments for Prodigy are practicing these skills:
Order of operations
Multiplying decimals by 10, 100, 1000, and 10000-multiple choice
Multiplying decimals by 10, 100, 1000, and 10000-missing multiplier
