Math

This week, we will learn, and practice adding and subtracting decimals.

For our Math Wildly Important Goals  (WIGS), students will have multiplication fact quizzes on 8, 9, and 10 this week. Please practice with your child at home. We have made Fortune Tellers to practice Multiplication Facts 0-12 in class. Students can also practice on http://www.multiplication.com/  or Math Drill App. (Please see the link, "5th grade Math Resources," on my blog.)

Remember "Fact Families Booklet" & "Multiplications Fortune Tellers" are both due next Tuesday, October 3.

Open and close (front to back and sideways) once for each letter in the color selected.  For example: red would be opened and closed three times.  3. Choose one of the number words showing, and open and close once for each letter in the number selected. For example: nine would be opened and closed four times.  4. Choose one of the four math problems shown inside and answer it.  5. Lift the flap the question is on and check your answer.  Note: Step 3 can be skipped to make the game move faster.
