Math
We will start our unit on how to multiply multi-digit whole numbers and decimal numbers. The next two week, students will learn how to multiply whole numbers with 3-digits by 1-digit, 4-digits by 1-digit, 2 digits by 2-digits, 3-digits by 2 digits, 4-digit by 2-digit, 3 digits by 3-digits. It is essential for students to know their multiplication facts fluently in order to compute multiplication math problems.

WIGS
For our Math Wildly Important Goals (WIGS), students will have multiplication fact quizzes on 11s and 12s this week. Please practice with your child at home. We have made Fortune Tellers to practice Multiplication Facts 0-12 in class. Students can also practice on http://www.multiplication.com/ or Math Drill App. (Please see the link, "5th grade Math Resources," on my blog.)
