The third quarter ends next Thursday, March 15, which is next week.  Please make sure all missing assignments , projects, and retake quizzes are completed and turned in by next Wednesday.  It is important to check Aspire Gradebook weekly, or as regularly as possible with your child, to teach them to be responsible and to take ownership of their learning.  Thank you for working with your child on homework.  Let's make it a great week!

Math

We are starting the Geometry and Measurement Unit. We will discuss polygons and non-polygon concepts and reviewed basic Geometry vocabulary words. We will discuss quadrilateral property and classify 2-dimensional shapes into categorizes based on their properties in Math class.

Science

Penny Wars 

Annual OPA Penny Wars Begins on Tuesday, Feb 20, 2018, in the Elementary building. Pennies are positive. Dollars and Silver Change are negative. Winning class will receive a prize.

March 12-15 - There will be a jar of coins in the office where students can guess the amount of money in the jar for 25 cents.  The winner will be able to add the amount of money to their class total to possibly win. All money will go towards playground equipment.
