Weekly Post 12/12-12/20

Dear Students & Parents,

We are almost there!  The school year is just about half over!  Please stay focused on learning Math and Science and doing your best.  Make everyday count! As we approach the Winter Break, please accept my best wishes for a joyful and relaxing holiday with your family.  And a special thank you to all your wonderful parents.  Thank you for your support and for working with your child.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Math 

This week's assignments for Prodigy are practicing these skills:

*Expression from word problem

We use Prodigy to practice math skills and concepts that we learned in math class. Please include Prodigy Math games in your child's daily math homework routine for 20 minutes.

Science 
This week, students will investigate the effects of magnets on the needle of a compass, and compare this to the effects of Earth's magnetic field on the needle of a compass. Below is this week's vocabulary words on Magnetism LINC#3

Jan.6 -Quarter 2 ends. All missing assignments or quiz retakes need to be turned in and done by Tuesday, December 20!!!  January will be a fresh start for everyone!
*Please continue checking your child's grades on Aspire on a weekly basis.
