Weekly Update Jan. 30-Feb.3

Math ~ This week, we will continue to learn how to add and subtract fractions with mixed numbers and improper fractions and review fact families. Please continue practicing Math Facts with your child at home. We use Prodigy to practice Math skills and concepts that we learned in Math class. Please include Prodigy Math games in your child's daily math homework routine for 20 minutes.

Science ~We are on our 4th week of Electricity Unit. We will be reviewing concepts we have learned in class.  Please continue practicing vocabulary words at home. This week, students will have electricity week #4 vocabulary words quiz on Friday.  There are 22 vocabulary words for the electricity unit. Students can also practice on quizlet from the link below.

Reminders:
Feb.1 (Wednesday)- 5th & 6th Grade Literacy Night. Due to severe winter weather,  Literacy Night was moved from Jan.26 to Feb.1. Please come join us!!!
Feb.3 (Friday)- Half day, $1 Uniform Free Dress, school dismisses at 12:45 p.m.
Feb. 15 (Wednesday) -5th & 6th Grade Ski Day 8:00-4:15 p.m.
Feb.16 (Thursday)- Parent Teacher Conferences, @1:00-8:00 p.m. The Sign-Up sheet will be posted in the lobby a week before PTC's.
Feb.17 (Friday)-Parent Teacher Conferences, @8:00-Noon
Feb.20 (Monday)- No school, Washington/Lincoln Holiday
March 1 (Wednesday)-Utah Symphony Concert Filed Trip @8:30-12:00
