Math ~
We are working on the fractions unit. We will learn about adding fractions with like and unlike fractions, or mixed number fractions, and also review changing improper fractions to mixed number fractions and mixed number fractions to improper fractions. It is essential for students to practice multiplication facts and division facts, to master their math facts. Please practice with your child daily as part of their homework routine. Online resources are available under 5th Grade Math Resources on the sidebar in my blog. Students have been using That Quiz: Arithmetic http://www.thatquiz.org/tq/practice.html?arithmetic in class on Chromebooks.

This week's Prodigy will be on the following concept:
  • Mixed numbers written as an improper fraction-step by step
  • Represent mixed fractions using fraction strips
  • Improper fractions placed on number line
  • Mixed fractions on a number line
  • Mixed numbers written as an improper fraction
  • Represent improper fractions using fraction strips
We use Prodigy to practice Math skills and concepts that we learned in Math class. Please include Prodigy Math games in your child's daily Math homework routine for 20 minutes.
